Mapelec® RTU is a single-component solvent-based acrylic paint loaded with solid silver and silver-plated copper (Ag/AgCu). It achieves a surface resistivity of less than 60 mΩ/sq on a wide range of plastic substrates. Easy to apply and supplied ready-to-use, Mapelec® RTU provides significant electromagnetic shielding efficiency with a deposited thickness of 40 µm.

For certain low-surface-energy plastics, such as polyolefins and some polyamides, a primer may be required. Refer to our technical data sheet for complete application instructions, and contact us for specific technical inquiries.

Benefits of Silver-Plated Copper Coatings

Mapelec® conductive coatings loaded with silver-plated copper offer an exceptional surface resistivity of less than 0.05 Ω/sq. Thanks to this carefully optimized combination of both metals, you benefit from the outstanding conductivity of silver while taking advantage of copper’s lower cost, ensuring an optimal price-performance ratio. Our range is designed with various copper-to-silver ratios to meet most technical specifications. However, this range is not recommended for highly corrosive environments due to copper’s lower resistance.

These electromagnetic shielding coatings, compliant with the GAM T-20 standard, provide highly effective EMI/RFI shielding across a broad spectrum, protecting your equipment from interference and ensuring optimal performance.
