Characteristics

Two-component polyurethane conductive coating based on silver, providing excellent shielding against electromagnetic interference (EMI) and ensuring electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) for electrical and electronic equipment. FCEM206 offers good temperature resistance (thermosetting behavior) as well as enhanced chemical resistance. It achieves an exceptional level of electromagnetic shielding with a surface resistivity below 50 mΩ/sq. To extend the shelf life of the mixture, our FDIL7070 Mapelec®-B thinner (available in 1 L cans) can be used.

For certain low-surface-energy plastics, such as polyolefins and some polyamides, an adhesion primer may be required. Refer to our technical data sheet for complete application instructions and contact us for specific technical inquiries.

Mapelec® Bi-Silver is available in 5 kg or 1 kg kits.

A specific question?

Benefits of Silver-filled coatings

Mapelec® silver-based conductive coatings for electromagnetic shielding offer numerous advantages. They have excellent electrical conductivity, ensuring exceptional shielding performance with thin applied layers, which helps reduce the weight of coated parts and paint consumption. These coatings also provide good corrosion resistance, allowing for durable and reliable use even in demanding environments. They represent the high-end of electromagnetic shielding coatings.
